Diwali @ GMT ...

We bunked second half of the office on Friday and attacked Anil’s house. Verity of festival delicious items were waiting for us. We were not able to sit, talk … I never ate so much at a time in my life J … Thanks to Vani for such a great Diwali lunch. We started playing dart after that … It was so much of fun … We played till 8 in the evening. We started firing crackers. I was amazed by the crackers sound in that area, I felt like I am in Bangalore. I am personally against the crackers, but this time I enjoyed it J … Joy at the Aditi’s face in the light of a rain pot made me to forget about the pollution … We grown up people think too much J

Aditi …
Next day morning we all got into a ferry at Westminster to Greenwich.  Ferry sailing on Thames River towards Greenwich passed by London Eye, London Bridge and numerous buildings. Commentator was explaining about the buildings. I am not interested … I was busy clicking photos. Thames never impressed me, for me banks of this river looks like showcasing the wealth of this country. From where all this wealth came in? Something pokes inside me. Not only this place, if you walk around in London you can feel economic richness of this country, something pokes inside me… English people like History a lot. For each and every thing they have a story. They always like to leave in past. No doubt they ruled the world, but now they have fall way down from their peak. They try to find themselves in the lost empire. Sometime I feel they just hype the history and build stories because they are not strong enough at present.

We entered Greenwich Park … Beautiful! ... I can’t explain … Photos below are the proof for it. There is a line drawn on top of a small hill – GMT … Nothing great.  Time museum is very good it seem… somehow I am not big fan of museums and history …J For me what matters is beauty of the place. The garden around this place is really good. We played volley ball, football, monkey game with a plastic ball on the green carpet J . It will be dark here by 5 itself. We walked over a walk bridge over Thames on the way back. Nice outing.

Sunday we went to play badminton. We played for two hours. My hands are still painingJ. We went to a temple nearby in the evening. After long time I enjoyed ‘Bhajan’! But some rituals of that temple made us sit there for half an hour! It was punishment for all of usJ.

Onsite Week Ends with nice gang is Fun!!!

Cheers!

Beautiful Days...

Every morning unfolds with freshness in it. Chillness and the mist around make me enjoy the beautiful morning. I guess absence of dust and noise makes it so fresh. With the warm hands in pockets walking on footpath is fun. Just after a morning drizzle entire city looks like a beautiful lady wearing white just after a holy bath! London itself is a beautiful city, especially during this period of the year it is full of colors. Trees’ changing their colors to vibrant shades is a feast for the eyes.

Place next to our bus stop
London is one of the most romantic cities in the world. Birth place of young romantic poet of all time, John Keats. I think the weather and landscapes here makes it romantic. Small reflecting stream with the trees around, green carpet beside the stream having yellow and reddish leaves on it, light rays with right intensity not spoiling the calmness of the beautiful frame...Wow! How can such spots be present in a city! Beautiful young couples walking hand in hand, add to the beauty of nature. If you are walking alone in a walkway, your heart will definitely ask for a hand to holdJ

Wow !
Place next to our office gate!
As a Banglorean I am used to Mad rush! Getting into a bus is a war, driving on roads is a fight. You honk more than you break! That is my definition of a city as wellJ. Here people don’t rush much for anything. They tell too much of ‘excuse me’, ‘Thank u’, ‘Sorry’ etc. just like that. Too many driving rules, in the space between two cars in a traffic signal two autos and four bikes can easily fitJ. Honking is very rare. You will loose the attitude of battling for life here.

We eat better than Bangalore here! Expert cooks make our food delicious. Rajesh is a good cook, if he puts up weight, himself to be blamed. This is how our dining table looks like most of the days in the evening J

Delicious !
Will update soon ... Signing off…

Cheers!

Kiran Writes ...

Colours of Life
Kiran Writes ... Title looks like a preface to a historic event :) ... Title is absolutely wrong :) ... I never thought, some day I will write something readable in English !  Here is my sincere attempt to put myself into words.

Lot of reading and your own curiosity gives you the better insight about the world around you. It is not the language which matters to convey your insights or thoughts. If you know one language very well then you can learn any language with ease. That's what happened with me. I knew Kannada very well because of the environment I grew up, people around me and my own reading. First few days were difficult, I somehow picked up later without my knowledge. I still don't rate myself better ... I haven't learnt it from the age of two instead learnt at the age of twenty :)

I write down whatever comes to my mind in Kannada... which need not have any meaning or might not make any sense to a person who is reading it :) But it gives feel good factor to me. "Feeling good always is the meaning of LIFE" for me.

I started writing poems during my college days ... As a normal good boy my poems revolved around the beauty of dream girls :) It takes time to come out of depth of their eyes...  Believe me it is not easy ! you will feel there is no other world... I slowly realized depth of life is much much deeper than the depth of their eyes and it is not as sweet as their eyes ... Even the pain in their eyes is sweet and beautiful ! it is not the same with the life, Life is an amazing blend of love-hate, sweet-bitter, good-bad and lots more emotions and events... and there is lot more to experience, observe and write. But ultimately for me Love and sweetness in their eyes makes the life beautiful and keeps it rolling :)

Don't Try to Measure the Depth !
Whenever I wrote something in Kannada which makes sense, I wanted people in my close group share their views on it after reading it. But unfortunately I am an Engineer :) People around me are not comfortable with reading Kannada ... Now I am taking risk of writing it in a language on which I don't have reasonable command. It's an attempt ...

By reading this blog you are agreed to my terms and conditions stating ... You will read each and every utter nonsense written in "Colours of Life" and will share you views.

Cheers!
